BIOGRAPHY

Liana Greger is a versatile soprano, teacher, and scholar based in Boston, hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, she was named the national first-place winner of the Classical Young Artist/Emerging Professional division of the Classical Singer Vocal Competition at the 2026 annual conference in Boston.
Liana has performed with the Boston Conservatory Opera in the ensemble of Così fan tutte, as Voice 3 in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, and in opera scenes as Carolina from Il matrimonio segreto and Pousette from Massenet’s Manon. She has also performed with the Puget Sound School of Music Opera Theater as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and in scenes as Pamina from The Magic Flute and Lily Craven from The Secret Garden.
As a music researcher, Liana published the article, “Gender, Self-Identity, and Vocal Music Education: Student Experiences at the University of Puget Sound in the 1990s” in 2023. Her scholarship examined the effects of collegiate music education on vocalists' negotiation of musical identity, specifically the impact of gender conceptions embedded in classical music cultures. Liana believes in the power of voice education as an affirming context for working towards greater gender equity in music.
Liana recently graduated with her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston Conservatory under the tutelage of Dr. Kerry Deal. Liana is excited to perform in the ensemble of L’elisir d’amore with the Boston Summer Opera this June.
